June 10th. Make a note of it on your calendars, as it's the day Johnny Lloyd will finally release his latest solo EP 'Dreamland', and you wouldn't want to miss it.

Following on from over a year of studio hibernation post debut EP 'Pilgrims', Johnny is now set to unveil his latest workings, and we can't wait to hear them. It was not so long ago that we were first treated to a taster of what to expect from the former Tribes frontman's fresh material in the shape of the dark, gloomy and unforgiving 'Hello Death', a track that evidently proved that there's to be no boundaries in Johnny's latest work. Produced by The Maccabees' Hugo White and cult hero Jamie T, Johnny has clearly drafted in some fine expertise to help him lay down his tracks, and this should no doubt show.

With a real 'Carry On The Grudge' vibe to it, Hello Death is a positive indicator that Dreamland could be an epic combination of styles and influences, accounting for an EP that may well turn out to be truly quite special. Obviously, this is all just speculation at this time, but I've every faith in Dreamland being the EP that could project Johnny's name in to the more mainstream media, something that's long over due yet ever so deserved.
Make sure to get yourself on Dreamland when it's released on June 10th, otherwise we've a strong feeling you may well regret it if you don't.
