RADAR: The So So Glos
I spoke with edgy punk, glam-rock four-piece The So So Glos recently. Following the release of their latest album 'Kamikaze' (released in the UK 14th October via Votiv Music), things are looking blindingly bright for the quartet, and we guarantee you'll love them in no time.
Who are The So So Glos? You, me and everyone around us looking vacantly into the dim lit glo of a screen while the world goes insane.
How would you describe your sound? A tree falls in Brooklyn and no one is around.
Who are your biggest influences and inspirations? Andy Kaufman, The Ninja Turtles, Woody (Guthrie & Allen), Fiona Apple, Bill Hicks, Larry David, The Jags, Violent Femmes, BIG (Pun, L and Poppa), Lou (Armstrong, Reed and CK) Bob (Dylan, Marley & Wiley) to name a few.
What's the aim? That people lose their minds on the dance-floor. To provide a soundtrack for the times and a temporary escape from the misery and horror in the world. A fun place where all people can come together and try to love one another.
What's next for The So So Glos?
Can't say.
