12 Reasons To Be Excited For Y Not Festival
Are you hitting up the Peak District later this month for Y Not Festival like us? If so, you probably won't need a list of reasons to be excited; but here's some anyway.
1 - Thursday
If you bagged yourself an early entry ticket then you're in for one heck of a treat - the music begins as soon as you arrive! Thursday sees the likes of By The Rivers, Milburn and The Coral take the stage. Not too shabby.
2 - Alcohol
You complained, and Y Not listened - after lifting the original alcohol limit, you can now drink yourself silly! (It is important we clarify we're not advising you to do so, though).
3 - Editors
Strap yourself in, this is gonna be special. It's the first time Editors have ever headlined a major UK festival and you can see it all unfold on The Big Gin Stage. You lucky souls.
4 - Noely G & Madness are there too
It's not just Editors! Noel Gallagher and Madness also top the bill; with the former Oasis man headlining the Saturday and Madness closing the festival on Sunday. Get some bevvies down ya and enjoy a good ol' sing-a-long and dance! ONE STEP BEYOND!
5 - Potentially, potentially good weather (potentially)
The long-range forecast at the moment is predicting rain; but us Brits don't believe the weather forecast do we? It's bound to be blazing sunshine! (Please take note of our sarcasm).
6 - Discover new bands and artists
Y Not is full to the brim with up and coming talent this year, with plenty of promising new acts taking to the stage. If there's nothing in particular tickling your fancy, head to a stage and discover someone new!
7 - Craig Charles Funk & Soul
Yes! Craig Charles from Corrie (and Robot Wars) will be hitting up Y Not on Friday night grooving you through to the early hours with his highly-acclaimed Funk & Soul set. Get your dancing shoes (wellies) on!
8 - Mr Motivator's there too...
You heard us! Mr Motivator will be getting you in pristine physical shape on Saturday morning on The Big Gin. Bring your sweatbands.
9 - The Peak District
Y Not isn't just your average festival, it's situated in the heart of the beautiful Peak District, so embrace your inner outdoorsy-lover and appreciate the stunning surroundings.
10 - Build your own line-up
Y Not has offered you the chance to build your very own line-up planner before you arrive! Log on to their website and build yours now so you can avoid any annoying clashes when you get there.
11 - It's SOLD OUT!
Zilch, zero, none! They're all gone! It's set to be a busy ol' weekend. If you got your ticket in time, congrats!
12 - It's going to be unforgettable.
It's probably Y Not's best line-up yet, so it's bound to be an incredible weekend. Plus the possibility of some potentially good weather will make it even better! (Let's not kill our hopes just yet). If you're going, we'll see you there!
